Welcome my lovely art freaks! As you all know winter is on it’s peak in India. It is one of my favorite time of the year as Christmas is coming, but don’t let Christmas sneak up on you. So, start preparing now with this lovely craft I will be illustrating today so that you can enjoy your beautiful days with your friends and family. Make your own decorative Garland piece and save money.

Today, we’ll be making Holiday banners resembling that Winter time is here. Also to bring a touch of Christmas and New Year joy to your home as it is time to get into the holiday spirit and to spread holiday cheers.
This piece of attraction i.e., personalized homemade Garland Banners using Popsicle Stick will welcome family and friends to your dinner. You will surely love these being hanged Β in your home during the holidays and all year round πŸ™‚ . These can be hanged anywhere, in your entry way, on your door, in your kitchen, on your banister, on your halls, on your fire mantel, above a large window, in the balcony or just about anywhere you want. So let’s get started by collecting the material you’ll be needed.

Things that are required:

  • Popsicle Sticks
  • Glue
  • Red Paint
  • Ribbon
  • Paint Brush
  • Scissor
  • Scrap Paper

Let’s get started:

Step 1: Place 5 wooden Popsicle sticks together in a way as shown in the picture below.

Step 2: Paste a scrap paper over the sticks placed together. This will hold the sticks and won’t let move anywhere and will stay stiff.

Step 3: Flip it back and you’ll see they are now joined together tightly. Make 5 more pair like these.

Step 4: Time to color them all with red paint and keep them aside to allow the paint to dry completely.

Step 5: Place them all from the back in a line with a gap of 2 inches. Now, paste a ribbon on upper side of these thin stick slabs. The length of the ribbon that i kept is 1 meter. The size of the ribbon depends according to the size of the door or wall you are going to tie on.

Step 6: Decorate it with different embellishments or decorative stuff. You can also draw or paint on it of your choice.
